When will my good(s) be dispatched?
Our aim is to dispatch orders placed before 2pm, on the same working day and at worst the next working day of receiving the order. Please note we do not dispatch goods on Saturdays, Sundays or Public holidays (we need time to ride too!).
How do I know if the item I want is available?
Availability of our products is shown on the website.
- in stock - normally dispatched within 24 hours - indicates that the item is in stock. We normally dispatch items in stock within 24 hours.
- none in stock - normally available to order and dispatched within 2-7 days - indicates that the item is not in stock. However, we can normally source this item from the suppliers, and the 2-7 days is based on normal lead times. If the supplier does not have stock, we will email you within 2 working days with an estimated due date, and/or an alternative.
Your payment will be processed and your card debited when your order is placed. Please note that some items that are not in stock are in short supply, so it is sometimes better to order early in order to guarantee supply. What if only part of the order is in stock?
If only part of the order is in stock we will dispatch what is in stock now and the rest of the order when it arrives.
Are bikes supplied assembled or boxed?
All BMX bikes supplied mailorder are boxed. This generally means that the bikes are about 80% pre-assembled. We can fully assemble bikes for in store collections for a £10 service charge.
Which couriers do you use?
Small items are sent by First Class Post, larger items and complete bikes are sent by ParcelForce 24 hour or DHL. Therefore, most items are delivered next day. However, as with all couriers, delays may occur.
What will the postage charge be?
Most orders posted within the UK are charged at £3.99. (Orders to the Highlands of Scotland and offshore may cost more). We will confirm postage costs of international orders by email and wait for your reply before the order is dispatched.
Do your prices include VAT?
All of our prices include VAT at the standard UK rate of 17.5%.
Can I Return my items(s)?
We have an open returns policy and will accept goods back if they don't fit your bike, if you've ordered the wrong thing, or if you simply don't like them. We only ask that you return items within 7 days and that returned items are unused and with their original packaging. Please remember to enclose your name, address, telephone number and email address together with your request for replacement, refund (excluding postage) or exchange and reason for returning the goods.
My goods are faulty, what shall I do?
Please contact us before returning goods as many problems can be solved before goods are returned. If the goods need to be returned, a refund, replacement or repair will be offered depending on each individual case.
How accurate is your website?
We have done everything to ensure that the descriptions of the items on the website are as accurate as possible. However, specifications are subject to change without notice by the suppliers and as such we cannot be held responsible for any real or perceived discrepancies of products from their descriptions.
Winstanleys Privacy Policy
We will not pass on any details to any other parties. When you make an order, we need to know your name, e-mail address, delivery address, credit or debit card number and expiry date. We also ask for your phone number, so that we can call notify you of your order status. Your credit card details are deleted after an order has been despatched. We may occasionally send you notice of special offers by email.
Online Security
Winstanleys has been established since 1963, we are well known from our advert in RIDE since 1997. We take online security extremely seriously and have taken several steps to ensure that your payment information is processed confidentially and accurately.
Winstanleys and Cybertill offer the use of secure servers where information is protected by Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), the industry standard encryption technology. SSL works with Netscape Navigator, Microsoft Internet Explorer, AOL and other browsers. This encryption makes it virtually impossible for unauthorised parties to read any information that you send us.
In the highly unlikely event of credit card fraud, the credit card issuer usually covers the cost, and as a consumer you should contact your card providers to find out your position.
We have made online shopping secure and easy. When you order, we need to know your name, email address, mailing address, credit card number and expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfil your order and to notify you of your order status. We delete your online credit card details as soon as the order is processed.
In summary, you can be sure that we have taken every step to ensure that your online ordering is safe and secure.
